grants & funding

Grants & Funding main image

While DEA does not provide grants or funding we can assist in identifying what is available and how it can be accessed. DEA has a great deal of experience in helping businesses identify and accessing grants and finance.

Whether you require help with an application for a small grant, assistance with approaching your bank for an overdraft, or loan, or a more complicated package of funding with several elements, we can help.

Grants and Funding are obviously of great interest to anyone at any stage of business. Unfortunately the sources and types available can vary.  We advise you to call us on 01207 580011 or email us at info@derwentsideenterprise.co.uk to discuss your specific enquiry.

Although we have provided links to the main organisations offering grant and funding support.  We would strongly suggest that you contact us first as we may be able to save you time and effort and direct you quickly to the best source of support for your own specific circumstances.

Finance

A list of public sector supported sources of funding is available via the sources of finance link.  This is not intended to be exhaustive but a guide to the main schemes available for businesses in Derwentside. These are split between ‘equity’ (where you will have to give up a percentage of the ownership of your business) and ‘loan’. These loans tend to be ‘soft’ (unsecured) but also more expensive and with more conditions than commercial bank lending.
